At a press event in New Delhi today, Xiaomi introduced its new Xiaomi Redmi Y1 range, with a focus on the configuration of the front camera. The two Redmi Y1 models feature a 16-megapixel front camera combined with an LED flash. According to the company, the high-resolution front camera combined with this flash simulates the effects of natural lighting and captures sharper, better-quality self-portraits.
This new range Xiaomi Redmi Y1 also comes as a surprise, since it runs MIUI 9 (in beta) and will receive the stable update in mid-November. Recall that this operating system has already landed on the Xiaomi Mi 6 and Xiaomi Mi Max 2 and among its innovations we find the opening of applications faster, better notifications, split screen (as the stock version of Android), icon animations and smart editing of pictures.
